Janet Fournier

anet Fournier is a mother of two extraordinary souls, a Registered Psychotherapist, healing harpist, and Life Design Coach devoted to supporting women and families through the profound inner changes of life and motherhood.

With more than four decades in the wellness and human development space, her work is rooted in nervous system awareness, compassionate witnessing, and helping women reconnect with themselves and the quiet wisdom within. A true path-maker with a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit, Janet spent a decade homeschooling her children while cultivating a thriving community of like-minded families long before homeschooling and conscious family living became more widely embraced.

She is the founder of Listening Room, her private psychotherapy practice in Richmond Hill, Ontario, offering in-person and online therapy for individuals and couples. Through her separate coaching practice, Pause’itive Edge, she supports people in creating clarity, self-trust, and forward movement toward the meaningful lives they feel called to build.

Janet’s understanding of motherhood was profoundly shaped when her youngest child, as a newborn, faced a serious diagnosis. During that season, the harp entered her life as a source of grounding, calm, and nervous system regulation. Today, that same gentle presence is woven into the restorative spaces she creates for women and mothers. Her work is deeply informed by both lived experience and her passion for supporting women through the profound becoming of motherhood, increasingly known as matrescence.
